Canada introduced a new package of sanctions against Russia
The restrictions included institutions, public organizations and individuals, according to the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The reason for imposing sanctions is the involvement of individual individuals and legal entities in the Kremlin-backed illegal and forced mass deportation of Ukrainian children, Russian disinformation and the Russian nuclear sector.
In particular, legal entities subject to sanctions:

▪️Publishing “Komsomolskaya Pravda”;
▪️Russian Geographical Society;
▪️Moscow State Institute of International Relations;
▪️National BRICS Research Committee;
▪️Russian Institute of Strategic Studies;
▪️Center for support and development of the public initiative “Creative Diplomacy”;
▪️University Higher School of Economics;
▪️Russian Council on International Affairs;
▪️Valdai Club;
▪️JSC “Vladimir Tochmash”;
▪️PJSC Kovrov Mechanical Plant;
▪️Young Guard of United Russia;
▪️"Youth Army".
Also subject to Canadian sanctions were the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in Yakutia Tuyaara Vasilyeva, the Ombudsman for Children's Rights in the Tyumen Region Andrey Stepanov, and the Children's Ombudsman in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug Lyudmila Nizamova.
Other sanctions were imposed against the head of the Republic of Mordovia Artem Zdunov, the chief of the main headquarters of the Yunarmiya Nikita Nagorny, the chairman of the Young Guard of United Russia Anton Demidov, the adviser to the “head” of the so-called “DPR” on children’s rights Eleonora Fedorenko, the Russian scientist and political scientist Vasily Kashin, head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov.
