Difficulties of Russian translation. The influence of Russian propaganda is becoming increasingly apparent. The third season of the popular series "The Morning Show" was recently released on Apple TV, with the war in Ukraine as one of its central themes.
However, in Russia, this series can only be accessed through pirated platforms. The translator, whether being brainwashed or truly unconscious, has become a tool for Russian propaganda, promoting fabricated narratives and distorting the original content of the video.
This footage serves as an example of how Russian propaganda can manipulate people's perceptions. In the fourth episode of the series, the protagonist, who, according to the plot, is a journalist in Mariupol, mentions that the Russians are shelling the city (as seen in the English version above). However, in the pirated translation, the word 'Russians' has been replaced with 'mercenaries' and 'Azov' (as shown in the Russian version with English verbatim subtitles below).
We offer friendly advice to everyone: refrain from consuming Russian content, as there is no guarantee that it presents an accurate depiction of the world. Better watch in Ukrainian translation or the original version, since those are never lost in translation.
