In Limassol, Cyprus, a protest rally was held by Ukrainians residing in Cyprus to express their indignation regarding the planned celebration of the anniversary of the annexation of territories in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions by Russia. Hundreds of concerned Ukrainians from various parts of the island gathered at the protest to voice their opposition to the commemoration.
During the rally, a symbolic performance took place, where five individuals dressed in embroidered shirts and viburnum wreaths, with their hands bound by the Russian flag, represented the occupied regions of Ukraine. Protesters held banners featuring photographs of Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov, renowned Ukrainian military photojournalists, and chanted slogans in Ukrainian, English, and Greek, declaring the Ukrainian identity of these regions, including Luhansk, Donetsk, Crimea, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson.
