Ukraine independently provides the sea corridor; no grain deals are needed
The Ukrainian maritime corridor, which opened thanks to the Ministry of Infrastructure and the military, recently demonstrated the ability to receive/release 8 ships per day. This is the same amount as we sent last fall, when the agreement on grain between Ukraine, the Russian Federation, the UN and Turkey was in effect.
According to the project manager at the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies, Andrei Klimenko, Ukraine, through the efforts of its defenders, has demonstrated that it is capable of independently ensuring the safe route of the same number of ships per day as it was during the operation of the “grain corridor” under the auspices of the UN.
