Senior soldier Vasyl Borukh died on July 12, 2023 in the Zaporozhye direction, saving his comrades. The warrior is forever 50.

Vasyl lived in Lviv. For 30 years, he worked as a history teacher at Domazhyrsk Secondary School. He had an active civic position, was a participant in the Revolution of Dignity.

From the first days of the full-scale war, the man volunteered to defend Ukraine.

He fought as part of the Teroborona, and later transferred to the 116 OMBr.

"He taught more than one student to be proud that we are Ukrainians! In the first days, I went as a volunteer with the words: "Now the fate of Ukraine is being decided, if I don't stand up for it, I won't be able to teach history," said niece Halyna Volosko.

Vasyl is survived by his wife Halyna, daughter Yulia, son Markiyan, other relatives, friends and siblings.
