⚫ In an extraordinary but justified move, Meta has suspended multiple official accounts on Instagram and Facebook belonging to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei.

A spokesperson for Meta said, "We have removed these accounts for repeatedly violating our Dangerous Organizations and Individuals policy."

Khamenei's accounts, which have consistently crossed the line, were previously given a pass, as are the accounts of most heads of state on social media.

However, since October 7, his accounts have been actively promoting and justifying the actions of Hamas, Ansar Allah (Houthis), and other terrorist organizations.
