A Moscow resident was fined 30.000 rubles for a yellow-blue flower on her bag.
“In 2022, my daughter made me a brooch. During all this time I carried it on my bag. But in January 2024, a subway passenger wrote a denunciation against me. In February, when I was driving to work, the police detained me using facial recognition cameras.”
The Simonovsky District Court of Moscow found the woman guilty of “discrediting” the army.
“By carrying and demonstrating a means of visual propaganda, a negative attitude towards the ongoing SMO by the armed forces of the RF, namely a flower called
“Forget-me-not” attached to the shoulder strap of the bag, having the colors of Ukraine. This flower is directed against the military actions of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine, attacks on Ukraine, attracting the attention of an unlimited circle of people.” (police protocol)
