Americans and British fear that the German state has been infiltrated by Russia and avoid cooperation

The United States and the United Kingdom are working closely together to counter Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Information is also shared with Poland and the Baltic states, but not with Germany. This is what Olga Husieva, a researcher at the Institute for Security Politics (ISPK) at the University of Kiel, told the authoritative Spanish newspaper El País : "This expert warns that Germany has been excluded from this cooperation for fear of infiltration by Russian spies into the German intelligence services."
Husieva considers it "very possible" that the cooperating countries will also operate jointly militarily in Ukraine in the future. The article deals with the latter option, in particular the question to what extent soldiers from NATO countries are already active. All experts agree that this is already the case and that Dutch soldiers are also active in Ukraine. “That's no secret,” Husieva said. This concerns advisors who provide training and investigate the effectiveness of the weapons supplied by allies. This is also necessary to prepare for a further escalation of the war to other European and/or NATO countries. The experts believe that it is a matter of time before that presence is expanded now that Ukraine is receiving more advanced weapons, such as the Dutch F-16s.
No NATO soldiers are fighting with the Ukrainian army. However, the Western armed forces are in close contact with Western volunteers, i.e. former soldiers, who have served in the Ukrainian army.
The direct reason for the article is French President Macron's warning that his country is prepared to send troops to Ukraine if necessary to prevent the country from being taken over by Russian imperialists. Last week, Macron repeated that warning . The experts say that the warning words are mainly intended to present the Russian aggressor Putin with a new dilemma and increase the risk of his military operations for him.
