Notwithstanding the severe shortage of ammunition, the Ukrainian army continues to fight. How? The answer is people — individuals who tirelessly seek solutions even in the direst circumstances.

Max, a combat sapper with the 92nd Brigade, is at the center of this story. He is an expert in his craft, capable of cutting a mortar with an angle grinder and then reassembling it. During the day, he assembles a combat-ready 152 mm shell from two damaged ones, and at night, he enters the enemy territory to mine or clear mined positions during assaults.
