Western troops deployed in Ukraine will not be stationed directly on the front lines but will undertake crucial functions, as outlined by Neue Zürcher Zeitung:
▫️Defend the approaches to Kyiv from potential attacks originating from Belarus. By securing these approaches, Ukrainian units can be redeployed to reinforce the front lines elsewhere.
▫️Prevent any attempts by Russian forces to breach the Dnipro River and provide support to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Zaporizhzhia direction.
▫️Safeguard the port of Odesa, a vital maritime gateway, and be prepared to transfer troops to Moldova if needed.
▫️Offer support to the Moldovan military in the event of Russian provocations, thereby enhancing regional security and stability.
@TheOldGuy We should have offered this type of support years ago. Our politicians fear of russia have made us numb and sidestepped.
If we had acted years ago people wouldn’t die daily in Ukraine due to russian actions of terror. 😡😡😡
