Sofia, 1st year, Faculty of Air Defence of the Land Forces

- My family and I lived under occupation for more than a month. There was a Russian grenade launcher in our garden in Sumy region, armoured personnel carriers in the yard, Russian soldiers were walking down the streets we knew from childhood and telling us that this was their "pseudo-region", Russian planes were flying in the sky... It was at that moment, sitting in the basement, that I clearly decided: "The profession of designer can wait, I'm going to go to a military university, and that's how I ended up at the Air Defence Faculty of the Ground Forces of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force!"
When we were liberated and Ukrainian flags flew in the village, life quickly returned to its relatively normal routine. But the problem is that every day enemy missiles try to destroy these familiar places... So it is up to us, the young people, to act decisively, become good specialists and finally bring peace back to Ukraine! Do everything we can so that no one has to cower in basements to the sound of Russian guns! Moreover, the university gives us the tools and opportunities. My uncle, who is now fighting on the front line, jokes more and more often: "How long do you have to study?"
