Rostislav Filipov was blown up by a landmine on April 4, 2023 in the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region. The defender was 30 years old.
Rostislav was from the Kharkiv region. He acquired the profession of tractor driver, machinist-driver. For some time he worked as a cook in a cafe in Odesa, and on the eve of the full-scale invasion - at a metal depot in Kharkiv.
During the great war, he stood up for the defense of Ukraine, joining the 77th separate airmobile brigade.
"He was just and empathetic, a good son and a wonderful father," wrote Nataliya Filipova's mother.
The soldier is survived by his mother, two brothers, three sisters, a common-law wife and two daughters.
