Patrushev the shipbuilder
Putin assigned his KGB friend Patrushev to oversee... shipbuilding.

According to press parrot pesky Peskov, the Kremlin simply took into account the “vast experience” of the former Secretary of the Security Council.

Right... Formally, Patrushev actually graduated from the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute 50 years ago, but he during his whole life he was involved with the KGB and FSB.

So, some experts call the new position of the 72-year-old architect of the war an “honorary pension.” Others talk about that he's "been ditched" because he failed as security chief.

But you do not need to have a particular job title to have Putin's ear. Not to forget that his son has been promoted to deputy prime minister.

And Meduza’s sources say that despite formal responsibility for “shipbuilding issues,” Patrushev will retain part of his influence and will continue to be responsible for contacts with the security forces of other countries.

Time will tell
