Your big mistake Jeff, is thinking New York Times is mainstream. They used to be. Now they are only good for lining the bird cage.

@TheOldGuy Mainstream media never served to take down an existing empire.
It was always grassroots publications of the people

I used to find that the NYT reported the news impartially, but that was when it was known a the “paper of record”. It’s been a few years since the reporting there was unbiased, the editorial opinion has bled into the newsroom and tainted the perspective, either to compete with the Internet or perhaps please its ownership. I suspect it’s the latter.

@CivilityFan @TheOldGuy They have to pander to their readers according to the demographics:

The average age of New York Times readers is 42 years old.
Two-thirds of New York Times subscribers have an income of $75,000 or more.
In 2019, about 59% of New York Times readers had a college degree.
Most are Democrats but swallow the watered down mainstream swill that is served them by the NYT to maintain status quo in America
That is so they don’t get too angry and rock the boat.
