Russian subsidiary of Bank of China stopped accepting payments from Russian banks, Russian Kommersant media reported.

From June 24, the Russian branch will stop processing payments in yuan from Russian banks on the U.S. sanctions list. The bank will work only with credit organizations that have not fallen under U.S. restrictions.

The decision to halt transactions with sanctioned banks is attributed to fears of secondary sanctions from the United States.
