The first German BMPs are already being restored in Ukraine within the framework of the agreement with Rheinmetall — Ukroboronprom

"In a short period of time, we went from concluding an agreement and registering a joint venture in October 2023 to the start of production facilities. It was quite a difficult path, but the first German combat vehicles are already being restored on the territory of Ukraine," said the general director of Ukroboronprom. He added that further development and deepening of cooperation with the German concern is planned. In particular, the repair of artillery systems is planned in the short term. There is also a larger project - the production of the latest German Lynx BMPs at the site of the manufacture.
