These photos are of five-year-old Ruslan and one and a half-year-old Yarik from the village of Novoekonomichne in Donetsk Oblast. They and their mother were evacuated a few kilometers from the front line by the White Angel police special forces.

On August 5, a large-scale evacuation of families with children from 28 settlements in Donetsk Oblast began. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the police and the State Emergency Service, 1687 children have been evacuated.
