Regional banks in China have stopped accepting payments from Russia

Russia's financial isolation continues to deepen. The situation with settlements between Russia and China has become more complicated since July, when small regional Chinese banks began refusing to accept payments from Russia.

Russian businesses, which began actively using these banks to circumvent Western sanctions in May, have encountered new problems. Direct transactions in yuan are currently blocked in 98% of Chinese banks.
