🇳🇴 The russian "spy whale" Khvaldymir died near the coast of Norway. The cause of death is unknown - the day before it was seen in good condition, so the body of the animal was taken for an autopsy.

The nickname of the whale is a combination of the Norwegian word hval (translated as whale) and the name of Vladimir Putin. It was first spotted by Norwegian fishermen in 2019 — it had a body kit with a GoPro camera on it, and also the logo of a russian company with the inscription "Equipment St. Petersburg".

Because of this, the beluga was nicknamed the "russian spy", it was assumed that the russian Federation trained him to collect intelligence. However, Moscow did not comment on these rumors, and the media assumed that Khvaldymir is a whale therapist who escaped from russia. All this time the Norwegians took care of him.
