Maria Stratulat was 14 years old. She lived in Kyiv and studied at specialized school No. 307 with in-depth study of natural sciences. She adored animals, helped the charity project "Four-legged Santa".

At school, she took an active part in various activities, was interested in learning a foreign language, and worked hard in additional courses.

"Polite and friendly, always ready to help. She was loved and respected for her sincerity. She studied best in the class, diligent and hard-working," said class teacher Vlada Dyatlova.

On July 8, 2024, Maria Stratulat died as a result of an enemy missile attack on Kyiv. Her younger brother, 8-year-old Andriyka , died nearby, and Anastasia's mother was hospitalized.
