"I think it is a ferocius abuse. To stand on such legs for four days, handcuffed to a tree... It was impossible to sleep. I didn't sleep. My eyes are still foggy. I'm very tired. Every cell in my body hurts."
Revelations of Pavel Zhuravlyov, a serviceman of the russian army from the 98th Airborne Division, born in the city of Nazarovo, Krasnoyarsk Krai.
During his last combat mission, the assaultman was wounded and underwent treatment, during which he drank. The political officer with the call sign "List" smelled alcohol and handcuffed Zhuravlyov to a tree. He stood like that for four days, during which the political officer beat him, prevented him from sitting down and eating, and deprived him of sleep, which led to hallucinations.
Regular beatings, humiliation, and abuse are the trademarks of russian officers. The boomerang effect is at work: first, russian soldiers are killed and maimed in Ukraine, and later, they are beaten by their own in the rear.
