The main competitor of Scholz promises to deliver Taurus missiles to Ukraine if Putin does not stop the war.

The candidate for chancellor from the Christian Democratic Union, Friedrich Merz, stated that in case of his victory in the elections, he will present an ultimatum to Putin.

Merz will demand that Russia stop the war within 24 hours, threatening that otherwise Germany will deliver Taurus missiles to Ukraine and allow strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.
