Britain's largest bank HSBC has stopped accepting payments from Russia and Belarus

The financial institution's website states that any such payments may be delayed or rejected and the funds returned. HSBC urged customers to seek alternative solutions for such transactions.

The reason for HSBC's new decision could be that the US recently expanded sanctions against Russian financial institutions.
