"No Red Lines": Ukraine May Hit Russian Territory with French Missiles

This was stated in an interview with the BBC by the head of the French Foreign Ministry, Jean-Noel Barrot. He emphasized that Ukraine could strike at the territory of the Russian Federation for the purpose of self-defense, but did not confirm the fact that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were using long-range French weapons.

"We will support Ukraine as intensively and for as long as necessary. Why? Because our security is at stake. Every time the Russian army advances one square kilometer, the threat becomes one square kilometer closer to Europe," the head of the French Foreign Ministry said.

According to him, Western partners should not set restrictions on aid to Ukraine and draw "red lines". When asked by journalists whether this could even mean the participation of French troops in the battle, he said: "We do not exclude any option."

Currently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have French SCALP-EG missiles, an analogue of the British Storm Shadow. Such missiles are capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 250 km.
