Fico complained to Scholz that he had been offering Zelensky to meet at the Davos forum “for several days,” but has yet to receive a response.

“Aside from a childish invitation to Kyiv, Zelensky has not yet responded to this proposal. Our meeting in Davos could shape the future of Slovak-Ukrainian relations,” said the Slovak prime minister.

He also criticized today’s visit of the Slovak opposition to Kyiv, led by the head of the “Progressive Slovakia” party, Michal Šimečka.

According to Fico, they “blindly and uncritically side with Ukraine, prioritizing Ukrainian interests over Slovak ones.”
