Hungary has blocked the EU’s joint statement on non-recognition of Lukashenko’s “re-election.”

As a result, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and European Commissioner for Enlargement Martha Kos were compelled to issue their own statement, declaring the Belarusian presidential “elections” as fraudulent and illegitimate.
