@TheOldGuy It's a good gesture, but it won't affect most of them even it passes -- which it obviously won't.

To be fair, though, there's not a lot else Democrats can do right now, other than try to motivate constituents in districts that elected Republicans to hammer them about how the shutdown is hurting them, too, not just people they don't like.
