I've spent the last two days upgrading my web server so it can run Mastodon, and so my account is now self-hosted 🙂

I'd always meant to self-host if I decided this Mastodon business was for me (which it is!)

But it was sadly made more urgent as my old host is shutting down next week.

Also, all my old posts will then fall offline. The myth that it doesn't matter where your account is located (because you can always move) isn't the whole truth!
