Here's my conclusion on the chicken or the egg question, I'm sure many have come to it before.
There is an answer to what came first, the chicken or the egg and this is due to the problem of the question. We are using biological categories, as species evolve by generations of minute mutation, at some point something chicken-like but not quite considered a chicken gave birth to something slightly more chicken like than itself, this caused the child (the egg) to be classified as a chicken whereas it's parent was not. The first chicken came from an egg.

I completed a usability review (about chess.com) for part of my Master's program a while ago and sent it off to Chess.com. The support thanked me and said she would pass it to the Chief technical advisor but then I didn't ever hear anything back.
I recently noticed this which is precisely one of my suggestions. Super nice to see they actually acted on this feedback.
I've been really into reading psychology (surface level stuff) recently, and in this book they mention the Familiarity Heuristic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Familiarity_heuristic).
I think personally this explains a lot in terms of my musical taste as very often I have to listen to something several times before I really enjoy it.
