@War_Kittens I've never really had that happen before. VLC only chooses not to play a video file if the video file is broken in my experience with that program.
Do other video players or video editing programs recognize the file and play it correctly?

I'll have to try it on Android. They're all large files and seem to be 10-bit encoding.
@War_Kittens Yeah, I don't think VLC should have many issues even with 10 bit video on Android but your mileage might vary.
Usually I just use VLC on a Windows or Linux desktop for that.

Yeah at this point I just... Acquired a different encoding of the video but if I can't I'll attempt a tablet etc. Thanks for your help!
