Design goal -> battery powered air filter sufficiently portable to be carried to school camp and used in a room of 3-8 students overnight at a noise level that will not disturb others.
With half the filter surface area & fewer fans of those tested by @robwiss from @cleanairkits (https://twitter.com/robwiss/status/1586152589246496768?s=20) the estimated CADR for 6 Arctic P14s fans running on 12V and two 12x13x1 Filtrete 1900 is around 140cfm, 235m3/hr or 66L/s.
Running quieter on 9V for less CADR is an option.

@cleanairstars What adapters are you using to connect the fans? (Just a note, but something like this could also allow phone/laptop battery to power at 9V):

@cleanairstars How did you chain the 6 fans to adapter?
@WilliamRamsey they are PST fans. Cables hidden in the recesses. To say it was finicky is an understatement.
@WilliamRamsey to swap between high and medium flow rates you simply use either the 12V or 9V cable from the same output, no step up required as the battery pack delivers 12V.
@cleanairstars So does each fan connect to a splitter cable(s) before adapting to barrel plug/usb? I've seen splitters/hubs up to 5.
@WilliamRamsey connect the first fan to the 4 pin adapter and then the rest of the PST fans in series
@cleanairstars Ah! I wasn't aware those fans had ithe extra terminal.

@cleanairstars Comparing specs with standard P14, looks like they share same static pressure, rpm, cfm. PWM control is added benefit too. Cost difference is about price of splitter cable (for 5-pack).

@cleanairstars it would be a threaded female plug/terminal (to attach to unit housing).
