#Parasitology paperwatch: short but potentially incredibly helpful paper from Michele Tinti & Mike Ferguson.
They reprocess their 2019 #Tbrucei #proteome turnover dataset to generate ranked protein abundances in BSFs & PCFs, & provide the results as a handy web app.
Now YOU too can readily access data on the relative abundance of individual proteins in those 2 life cycle stages!🤩👍👏
Only issue is that the link to the web app doesn't seem to be working any more😳 Anyone know what's happened?
#Parasitology paperwatch: recent review from Midori Ishii & Bungo Akiyoshi on #centromeres and #kinetochores. Principally describes the distinction between monocentric and holocentric centromeres, the role of the histone H3 variant CENP-A (when present) and their taxonomic distribution. It then touches on #kinetoplastid kinetochores and the riddle of what defines their centromeres at the end. 😀 👍 👏
