How is the fall in consumer spending (as per NSO data) a surprise to anyone?
Unrelated but related anecdote:
Was doing qualitative research in a few villages in North Bihar for a clean energy project a couple of years ago. During one conversation at the village adda, an old man quipped, "Jindagi me sarkaar ne hume do baar thappad maara. Pehla baar tha nasbandi ab doosra baar hai notebandi."
They all shook with that emphatic laughter that only very dark humor can elicit.
For those of you who don't understand Hindi, his statement translates to "I've been slapped by the government twice in this lifetime. The first was sterilization (nasbandi), the second was demonetization (notebandi)."
I obviously didn't fully understand the line when he first said it in his local dialect (Maithili I think). Had to ask him to say it a few times before I got it.
@hackiechan okay the INTJ thing got me curious. As oera test I am an ENTP. Thanks for introducing me to something new.
@_lunawinters @ashwin_baindur of course! The MBTI test is a fun legacy of the industrial age (though not very scientific). But the underlying theory of cognitive functions (developed by Carl Jung) is even more interesting. Care to read a few nerdy links? :)

@hackiechan @ashwin_baindur i study psychology so i am really interested in these stuff. Carl Jung also wrote about the theory, Map of the Soul, which is quite interesting.

BTW, as per your test results, your "dominant cognitive function" would be Introverted feeling aka making decisions based on values and self-image. @ashwin_baindur for an ENTP, yours would be Extraverted Intuition aka brainstorming and connecting the dots.
