Only thing i wonder about is: why exactly to you go there? It if it so challenging, do you want to be challenged? Is it a money grab action? Why would someone of your reasoning go to where the pain is?

They're family. I guess I still have hope that we can overcome our differences somehow despite all the pain.

Also, it's not easy to cut one or two people out of family gatherings without injuring the whole.
