Suppose (inspired by recent Trumpery) that Canada, Mexico, and the United States were going to merge. One of the three existing Federal governments would incorporate the other countries states or provinces. The other two governments would be unwound. Which government would you favor to govern the combined territory?

@interfluidity Hey, they misunderstood your poll and only included canada:
> Trump then suggested to Trudeau that Canada become the 51st state, which caused the prime minister and others to laugh nervously, sources told Fox News.

@interfluidity Oooh

Say, it speaks of "killing the canadian economy", but what i wonder is: what is the US actually importing? There has to be some impact if those goods no longer arrive.

@admitsWrongIfProven yes. there would be a ton of impact. automotive and construction supply chains would be a mess.

@interfluidity Usually, poor peoples concerns like food prices are ignored, but "think of the billionaires".

Here, i already heard fears about the food prices rising, but not that big US industries may fail. So did i just sample too few us news, or is there something unusual going on?
