romantic ethnonationalism is the problem, not the identity or virtue or lack of virtue of the groups that ethnonational movements construct in both positive and negative space.

@interfluidity Yeah, but it's a real problem how easy it is to bring people to see this as side vs. side instead of violent ideologies vs. civilians. And how hard to effect the opposite change.
