It's crazy to see how much my opinions have changed since I was a child.

I hated touch screens. I even hated flat panel displays. I thought everything should be a CRT. I loved outdated computers and thought they were so much better. I was such a luddite.

These days, however, my opinions have changed completel- oh wait no, No, my opinions have changed shockingly little.

@OpenComputeDesign I must say i can do without lugging around CRTs and their flickering. Flat panel displays are great, provided they are only displays and nothing more.

@admitsWrongIfProven I will admit they're nice on laptops.

Altho even the thinnest desktop lcds usually have such bulky stands (Because physics) that it means the space savings for stationary monitors is honestly kinda minimal. I have a lot of monitors, and lcds tessolate really poorly

@OpenComputeDesign Well... if i had the amount of screen space i have with CRTs, my table would surely break. But to each their own, except for those that want to touch screens. They get their own only out of arm's reach from my displays!

@OpenComputeDesign I think the weight of my combined screen space translated to 15-19" CRTs would not only threaten the table but also the floor 😅

@admitsWrongIfProven well, I typically only use one monitor per computer. Sometimes one monitor for several computers. So my tables are at more risk from computers

@OpenComputeDesign If you want your computer to survive a nuclear war, a chieftec case from the time of CRTs is the right choice... also a good deterrent for thieves without a heavy duty dolly.
