Call me an idealist, but sometimes it really gets me down to wake up to a world of such abundance and potential, knowing full well that so many of us have to practically slave away most of our lives just to get a glimpse of it. Everyone should have the freedom to pursue their passions, live out their dreams. What are we even doing

I've had some extra time to work on a new hobby this week, more than most career oriented adults would've had. It's hard to ignore the lingering sense of guilt about this, especially when I look at the day-to-day experiences of other people in my life. I don't know, this is all just a bit upsetting to me on a spiritual level, somehow

@rootcompute Of course it is upsetting, all that completely unnecessary suffering and waste of time.

There's a lot of victim blaming going on, so try to leave the blame with those that mandate the grind, not you as someone who surely does not push people to do meaningless work.

@admitsWrongIfProven I know this is true, and yet, it can be hard to fully believe it sometimes. I am lucky to have supportive people in my life, but am often left wondering if I'm doing enough to support them back.
