How do I gain political power so that I can enforce peace and freedom?

@light I think the first step is to become conformist and the second to become corrupt. Can't skip or they won't accept you into their club.

@admitsWrongIfProven @light And you have to be prepared to use violence and oppress people. Political power is always about violence.

If you want to have moral power without using violence then you're a religious or philosophical (Socrates) leader. And there are three kinds of religious leaders.

1) Those who do not seek to influence worldly affairs or challenge authority.
2) Those who have supporters willing to defend them.
3) Martyrs.

Choose wisely. 😆

@mike805 @admitsWrongIfProven What about those who become so influential through their writing that they have people referring to their posts regularly and using new terms/memes that they coined (Scott Alexander, Cory Doctorow).

@light @admitsWrongIfProven Yes those are in the category of philosophical leaders. Cory Doctrow has done a good job of explaining why Big Tech cannot deliver quality, for example.
