When I go on Facebook saying "hitting kids is not okay", it's probably one of the most controversial things I can say, given most of the people I know on there are homeschooled evangelical Christians.

It's possibly more offensive than any political post I could make. People who regularly hit their kids get really upset when people start saying things like "you shouldn't hit children."
