If you're one of the 1,298 people who viewed my #Steam Curator page so far today, just wanted to say thanks! 😄
I wish Steam would break down where traffic sources originate from, no idea what caused such an insane spike—I haven't even posted a review in over a month.
Still, pretty cool to see! I've been happy to see our steady growth over the past couple of years, but this certainly hits a new level.
@rootcompute If i said i hate steam because it's just a way of separating people from their money, not providing any service, would you agree?
@admitsWrongIfProven I don't agree that Steam provides no service. Centralized updates and mod support, community reviews, highly sortable databases of digital games are all clear benefits of the service to me.
If you want to discuss the addictive potential of "collecting" (hoarding) cheap, intangible items or the diminished concept of media ownership intrinsic to Steam and other digital platforms of its kind, I am more open to these beliefs.
@rootcompute I'm just saying steam did not create, but can cut you off for no reason. Bought the game, payed for it? Well fuck you, game gone...
@rootcompute Not acceptable to me, but i do wish you the best.
It seems you understand, but assume there was some humanity in the company? Are you sure they will keep that contract?
