@ezmyrelda I look to big instances with an uneasy feeling.
The power of mastodon is to not be monetized. That's the one important thing that sets it as a useful tool to talk to people.
A big instance, so big it would collapse everything if it were removed... banking crisis? housing crisis? All the monopolies are just single points of failure. And what i heard of the big instance was not always good, no benevolent dictator there. I really hope this goes on without catastrophic failure.

@ezmyrelda It's pretty weird. Good things happen in small circles, but catastrophic things happen in the more general sense.

@ezmyrelda Yeah, i guess if mastodon.social sprouts those types and they aren't moderated we have other problems.

@ezmyrelda Generally, even if i have zero gender dysphoria, i'm internally debating to "gender non compliant" myself. The hardware is fine, but the gender roles... not my thing. Saw something about "just want to be seen as a human" in your feed, kinda vibed with that. Even if my experience is probably way easier.

@ezmyrelda I try to not fight, but if you have some haters, let me know. Easier to point out peoples failings if one is not the target.
