My department at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa has two tenure-track faculty positions open at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in any field of oceanography. There's research support of $150k per year for 5 years, which is pretty rare for a job in the US.

6 December 1942 | Grigol Peradze, a cleric of the Georgian Orthodox Church, an archimandrite, perished in Auschwitz. Since 1933 he lectured at the College of Orthodox Theology of the Warsaw University. The Germans arrested him on 5 May 1942 and in November deported him to Auschwitz.
