A pair of earthquakes were felt on #HaidaGwaii early this morning. A M4.7 #earthquake occurred at 01:01 PT ~40 km ESE of Masset, and a M4.1 #aftershock occurred at 01:32 near the same location. Felt reports from Masset, Port Clements, Skidegate, Daajing Giids, and Prince Rupert.

NASA-JPL ARIA has processed interferograms with 23 December Copernicus Sentinel-1 (descending track 35) covering M6.4 Ferndale earthquake. Geocoded UNWrapped (GUNW) interf. files available from NASA ASF archive. Grace Bato did InSAR time-series with MintPy to mitigate atmosphere in attached map. Displacements are small at surface, so rupture did not reach shallow depths, but radar line-of-sight direction also reduces signal on this track.

MAHLI dogs-eye mosaic of an outcrop along the marker band, taken by the Mars Curiosity Rover yesterday on Sol 3689. Check out the nodules at the bottom and how they seem to have little holes in them. I'll be interesting to see what the science is there.
