@AmenZwa I would not describe anyone as “whip it smart” if they can’t see through self-absorbed liars like Santos and Trump. Instead I’d say they must be some special breed of moron.

@ambihelical Until recently, only rich, unscrupulous newspaper barons had the power to fling muck on a continental scale. But social media has democratised this cherished political institution.

Now, even an average illiterate, without a penny to his name, can leverage Faux News, Twitter, Gloop Social, and other outlets to publish his own personalised muck to the mindless millions. I suppose in that context, Sent Toast may well rise to the level of Locke, Voltaire, or Kant.🤷‍♂️

In any event, it is revolting how the Republicans have, seemingly overnight, managed to relabel mediocrity, petulance, falsehood, and idiocy as excellence, forthrightness, truth, and intelligence.
