#introduction Alright let’s try a toot! I’m an Assistant Prof in the U Penn psych department. Our lab studies how the human brain learns and remembers. Our focus is on the role of the hippocampus in acquiring structured knowledge from the environment, and on how we then transform this information with time and sleep. (More here: schapirolab.org.)

@annaschapiro Love the #science! I too migrated recently. Tip: use hashtags, since there isn’t open text search, so hashtags are one major gateway to discovering contributions to a topic. I’d use #neuroscience #hippocampus #learning #memory and the like.
@annaschapiro oh! I’m brand new as this is my first minute on here! I saw your toot and was immediately interested as I love everything brain science. I’m fascinated with it with respect to trauma, mindfulness, psychology, etc. It’s just an interest and I don’t have a degree in it. I have a masters in educational psychology and I teach K-12 instructional technology.
