I thought "masking isn't even a significant inconvenience" was a little overly-simple but broadly true until I got glasses

(I have figured out/been shown some helpful tricks for reducing the fog, but it's still pretty bad/annoying/distracting)

@mtrkdjoyce what kind of mask are you using. If you have an N95 or equivalent and it is fogging your glasses then it isn't sealing to your face and is ineffective as well as annoying.

@antares it’s definitely dramatically better in an N95 or KN95, but when I pull the mask up and the glasses down, the air that comes out through the filter material itself still fogs them, and if I don’t adjust them that way, the amount that comes up around the edges (which I have never seen fully eliminated) fogs them

@antares the fit is certainly good enough to substantially increase respiratory effort when compared to a surgical mask, and I can’t imagine being willing/able to tolerate any higher level of respiratory effort for extended amounts of time

@mtrkdjoyce It makes you really appreciate the nurses who wear them for full 12-hour shifts doesn't it.
