"The electric car #EV will not whisk us towards an ever growing yet greener future.
If govs were truly serious about reducing emissions, they would celebrate #walking and subsidize #bicycles instead of $70,000 vehicles for the rich.
They would improve #publictransportation and make our cities walkable again… & help us imagine a livable economy that uses less energy of every source, not more."

@josemurilo You are letting the perfect become the enemy of the good. There is nothing that is preventing more investment in walk-ability and public transit while also de-carbonizing our personal transportation.

Honestly if there was sustainable way to have public transit get me the 20 miles from my house out a dirt road to my job in a light industrial area several miles out of town I would be all for it. But there are a lot of people outside of the sick and overcrouded cities who are unlikely to be served by public transportation this generation. My keeps the big diesel pickup in my back yard from being my daily driver.
