Vote your heart in your party's primary, but vote with your brain in the general election.

There is nothing wrong with voting for the non-mainstream candidate in the primary. I encourage it. A healthy competition of ideas for votes is one of the vital ingredients in political discourse.

In a general election, though? That's a whole other bowl of beans, at least in my opinion.
