I'm not heartless, but the guy had outlived his expectancy by at least two years. I knew better than to get attached. Now he's gone and there is SO MUCH NOISE downstairs. Mech-ing up and reanimating a creature might seem like a fitting midnight tribute on a work night, but I was hoping to watch some #korean drama. No way to enjoy it over the sound of grinding metal, breaking glass, and the dropping and rolling of small weighted spheres.

The hermit crab died sometime over the past two days. In the bath tonight, I received a text from my husband: he had a "dead crab situation, take your time". He texted later that he'd now be resigned to eating raspberries alone; I had already totally forgotten that he could be in any way referring to the hermit crab being his berry-eating pal. He's been drilling and soldering for the last thirty minutes. I'm betting the kids and I will wake up to the metallic click of roboclaws. Hermit Munster.

@SecondJon choice: having that alert torture you once an hour, every hour, for the next two years or having #Kavanaugh confirmed. I can buy earplugs.

@matzekult I think my favorite line was when Patrick said something like "When you listen to this show and realize everything is terrible and you want to die" (paraphrasing, but it's close) right before making his Patreon pitch.
